Sudbury Designated Employers Announced for RCIP & FCIP PR

Sudbury, ON, has recently disclosed a list of designated employers for the RCIP and FCIP PR pathways. Skilled foreign workers who are offered a community-based employment by one of these employers are eligible to apply for permanent residency through one of the pilot programs.

Many employers have been identified as part of the approved sectors, which is thrilling news for foreign nationals seeking to establish themselves in Canada. The pilot programs are designed to address the shortage of positions in the following sectors: healthcare, government services, business/finance, and industries and transport.

Sudbury RCIP & FCIP 2025:

Sudbury is one of the few regions in Canada that is currently engaged in both the Francophone Community Immigration Pilot and the Rural Community Immigration Pilot. The objective of these immigration programs is to fill employment vacancies in high-demand sectors in Sudbury and neighboring towns (Killarney, St. Charles, and Noelville).

The RCIP has 525 designated nomination positions, while the FCIP has 45. These nominations are specifically designed to address the workforce requirements of Greater Sudbury.

The Rural Community Immigration Pilot is a program that is designed to help foreign laborers achieve permanent residency with the goal of establishing a permanent residence in the Sudbury region. In the same vein, the Francophone Community Immigration Pilot is designed to facilitate the integration of foreign nationals into French-speaking communities.
