Job Overview:
The Shelter and Settlement Team Leader will oversee a team of eight staff members and ensure the effective and efficient execution of the programme, including providing technical support and coordinating rehabilitation activities. He/she will be accountable for overseeing and directing the housing rehabilitation team, offering technical assistance and guidance on all matters brought forth by the team. He/she will assure the quality of planning, execution, and oversight of all technical aspects of the sector’s activities.

Supervise members of the Shelter team:

- Coordinate with designated construction firms to oversee rehabilitation activities and ensure compliance with DRC quality standards.
Collaborate with relevant internal and external technical experts on sector relevant issues.
- Represent DRC at meetings and other pertinent technical coordination forums.
- Ensure seamless integration with other sectors within the DRC.
Project development:
- Create project tools, strategies, and budgets to secure funding.
- Project execution, reporting, and assessment.
Logistics/Finance:
- Assist in monitoring financial commitments and expenditures against budgets and provide timely feedback on budget tracking.
- Ensure that all documentation pertaining to assistance is prepared in accordance with Ukrainian legislation and DRC requirements.
- Plan and coordinate proactively the logistics and transportation of staff to and from various operational areas.

As Team Leader, the incumbent is accountable for the following:
- Responsible for the personnel management of employees, typically engaged in the same functional area.
- Responsible for assuring the timely implementation of work plans and tasks established by the immediate supervisor.
- Recruitment, termination of employees, and the execution of performance evaluations (closely supervised by the immediate supervisor).
