Its approach includes direct interventions, support to duty bearers and civil society organizations (CSOs), and collaborative partnerships with CSOs. DRC will persist in and modify its portfolio of enduring solutions in response to the changing context.

Responsibilities of Explosive Ordnance Victim Assistance Officer Jobs in Ukraine:

• Develop detailed activity work plans and adhere to them consistently.
• Provide Victim Assistance (VA) services to at-risk individuals, including evaluating their needs, developing action plans, referring them to additional services, and conducting follow-up.
• Maintain precise case documentation and securely store all records, including referral and consent forms.
• Assist clients in obtaining services such as healthcare, legal support, and housing, and offer advocacy assistance when required.
• Provide financial or in-kind support to mitigate protection risks.
• Map community services and sustain relationships with governmental and non-governmental service providers to ensure secure referrals.
• Facilitate awareness sessions and training on VA and the incorporation of Age, Gender, and Disability (AGD).
• Evaluate at-risk individuals with particular protection concerns and oversee case management.
• Collaborate with local authorities and non-governmental organizations to identify victims of explosive ordnance and assess community requirements.
• Participate in VA-related meetings and assist in developing proposals for new project funding opportunities.
• Generate reports on work performance, exemplary practices, and success stories.
• Enhance and develop the capabilities of VA Assistants.

Requirements:

To succeed in this capacity, we require candidates to possess a Bachelor’s, Specialist’s, or Master’s degree in social sciences (e.g., law, sociology, economics, international relations, etc.) or have at least one year of relevant work experience. Furthermore, we also anticipate the following:

• Confident knowledge of Microsoft 365, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook/Exchange, and Windows.
• Proficiency in the Ukrainian language.
