RCIP: Priority Occupations in North Okanagan-Shuswap, BC

Job positions are classified using National Occupational Classification (NOC) codes. They are founded on a system known as TEER, which stands for Training, Education, Experience, and Responsibilities. Each community in the RCIP is permitted to prioritize 25 NOC codes. The minimum wage requirement for all occupations on this list is $22 per hour, with the exception of executive housekeepers, restaurant managers, and accommodation service managers, who begin at $25 per hour.

Foreign workers who possess the necessary credentials and experience for the following NOC codes may be eligible to register for RCIP.

The RCIP for North Okanagan-Shuswap does not set a cap on the number of workers that designated employers may employ in the majority of the occupations enumerated. Nevertheless, the number of recruits for NOC 60030, 60031, and 62021 is limited to two. Additionally, there is a limit of 10 recruits for NOC 75110, 94211, 94212, and 95103.

North Okanagan-Shuswap RCIP Priority Sectors:

Five sectors are permitted to be prioritized by each region that is participating in RCIP. Upon the selection of these sectors, the IRCC will disclose the NOC codes and professions that are included in the program. Foreign workers who possess a minimum of one year of experience in these disciplines are eligible to submit an application for an available position in North Okanagan-Shuswap. This will establish them on the path to permanent residency if they are granted RCIP.
