Responsibilities of Monitoring Evaluation & Learning Officer Jobs in Ethiopia:
- Develop and implement the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) plan for the project in accordance with the VSO Global Results & Learning Framework and Practice Areas Theory of Changes, ensuring alignment with the VSO Volunteering for Development (VfD) framework.
- The role ensures the prompt monitoring of progress against objectives, the production of high-quality evidence, the promotion of learning, and adherence to donor and organizational MEL standards.
- Develop and implement the project’s Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) plan, indicator monitoring instruments, and data collection mechanisms in accordance with the project’s logframe and donor specifications.
- Conduct regular monitoring of activities, outputs, and outcomes across the sectors of climate adaptation, peacebuilding, livelihoods, and disaster risk reduction.
- Assist with baseline, midline, and endline evaluations, encompassing surveys and qualitative research.
- Perform routine on-site monitoring visits to validate data accuracy and evaluate the progress of implementation.
