Individual Giving (IG) is directed toward the general public to obtain their support through consistent, unrestricted donations, financial appeals, and bequests. The objective is to secure both recurring monthly and one-time contributions from individuals through diverse channels and approaches, including direct mail, face-to-face fundraising, telemarketing, digital campaigns, DRTV, and emergency fundraising, with an emphasis on cultivating strong donor loyalty and maximizing lifetime value.

The objective is to expand the donor base within the individual giving (IG) segment for UNHCR, focusing on individuals capable of contributing between $1 and $10,000 annually to the organization.

To support IG Programmes in the Gulf and MENA region, PSP must recruit a Donor Care Assistant responsible for soliciting funds from donors and prospects in accordance with the overarching unit objectives and targets.2:

• Secure funding for each assigned campaign and consistently meet or surpass fundraising objectives
• Conduct research on donors and prospects to obtain insights and deepen understanding of donor motivations
• Proactively engage donors through diverse fundraising methods, including calls, emails, and follow-ups, to raise funds, steward relationships, upgrade giving levels, and retain donors
• Develop donor journeys from conceptual design to execution, tailored to the specific segments as needed
• Assist the Donor Care Associate in establishing essential pathways for recurring donations and upgrades to mid-level donors
• Manage donor inquiries and requests promptly and effectively
• Develop surveys to enhance understanding of the database and establish a process for relaying the insights collected back to the team. Continuously provide the team with donors’ insights and feedback to facilitate the improvement and realignment of campaigns and creative content development.
